Sownd Affects is an “audio-inclusive” problem-solver
When Marion Marincat lost his hearing at the age of 26, he turned this life-changing event into an opportunity to explore audio and noise issues. Using data analysis along with his background in architecture, he realized that many businesses could increase their customer satisfaction or their productivity by improving the sound design of their spaces. And he could show them the numbers.
Marion founded an organization in the U.K. called “Sownd Affects.” And in the summer of 2025, they launched the first “Hearing Wellness Festival” in Hackney (London). In episode 32 of the Soundproofist podcast, we’ll learn more about Marion and goals of his organization, and how they’re addressing some of the challenges that affect people with noise sensitivities. In an increasingly noisy world, solutions are more than welcome!
